New Chevrolet Tahoe launched

The all-new 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe was unveiled at an exclusive launch held at the General Motors showroom in Sitra by National Motor Company. With better styling, greater refinement, new safety features, improved build and a host of new features, this new model is expected to drive further growth for GM in the Middle East. Representing a new generation of Sport Utility Vehicles, the comprehensively redesigned Chevrolet Tahoe delivers a sharper driving experience, more power, fuel economy, increased interior refinement and improved quietness.

The 2007 Tahoe is built on GM’s new full-size SUV platform, and incorporates features such as a new fully boxed frame, front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, and industry exclusive powered second row fold and tumble seats. Other features include a premium interior system that bolsters the vehicle’s comfort, quality and capability. Born with a new fourth generation small block 5.3-litre V8, the Tahoe produces up to 355 horsepower and comes with an Active Fuel Management system which switches between eight and four-cylinder power, based on load and performance requirements, to save fuel.

These new features are wrapped in a stylish new package that exudes athleticism. The exteriors are designed to be leaner and more agile, with large wheels and the wider track enhancing Tahoe’s powerful stance. The improved aerodynamics also contribute to the look, with a steeply raked windshield and smoother roofline helping to reduce noise levels. The 2007 Tahoe also has a comprehensive package of standard and available safety features. New features, including better air bags with rollover protection for all seating rows, complement the stronger chassis and body structure to provide excellent passenger protection. Technology add-ons include a factory-installed remote engine start system with automatic climate preconditioning, an enhanced StabiliTrak system and Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist.
