Bahrain Customs & Visa information
Unlike Europe, tax is relatively low on most goods sold in Bahrain which
means that items such as tobacco & perfumes can often be cheaper from the
shops then buying from Duty Free. If you are visiting or moving to Bahrain
then items that are expensive to buy are :-
CD music - however if you still listen to tapes then these are very
reasonably priced.
DVD Movies
Glossy publications such as Vogue
Electronic equipment i.e. laptops, MP4 players, GPS equipment etc.
There for I would recommend if you must take items into Bahrain, then take some of the above.
Allowances for alcohol, tobacco and perfume are very low.
Tobacco is very cheap in Bahrain compared with most European countries and so I would suggest you buy your tobacco in Bahrain.

200 cigarettes or fifty cigars.
250g of loose tobacco.
Eight ounces (227ml) of perfume.

control helicopters or remote control planes into Bahrain due to
security issues relating to the use of these toys.
