The best time to visit Bahrain is November-March, with October and April being just bearable. Be sure to take along a sweater or light coat during December-March -- the evenings can be cool. Bahrain's summer, which runs May-September, is very hot and humid, though occasional baras (cool northerly winds) blow through to provide some relief, find a pool with shade is our advise! More frequent are the qaws, the hot, dry summer winds that can bring sandstorms. Avoid visiting during Ramadan, the Islamic holy month, if at all possible: It's not much fun to travel without food or drink during the daylight hours.
