Bahrain is packed full of fun things to do for the kids and as a family. From fair grounds, Children's clubs, fishing, summer camps, jet skiing to horse riding and helping the BSPCA with abandoned pets, your stay in Bahrain can be a great way to unite as a family and have a lot of fun at the same time.
All major shopping malls in Bahrain will have a children's club or fantastic indoor fair ground including exciting roller coasters and with each shopping mall trying to out do the other you are guaranteed to have a fun days shopping in Bahrain. You will also find it is perfectly safe to leave your kids at the children's clubs as they will all be manned by professionally trained employees.
Education in Bahrain is also very good with schools offering both the American & British curriculum's so there is no need to fear that you may be holding your children back. I would say that kids tend to have an excellent time and learn quickly when living abroad as life in the Middle East is often far more sheltered then life in most western countries.
With secure compounds, school busses and plenty of sports facilities, it is often easy to forget that this sort of lifestyle is not the norm and where in most western countries you would never let your children play out on their own at night, in the Middle East especially on the compounds it is a common site to see children playing & running late into the night, especially during the summer when it is just to hot to play during the day.
